Citizenship Test

A letter just arrived from CIC telling me that my citizenship test is on May 2nd.
I applied in October so luckily the processing time was a lot shorter than expected.

Thanks Mrs. 007. From what I hear it's not too difficult:unsure: My biggest problem is the test is a 8.30am so I have to find someone to take the kids off my hands for a few hours as my OH is going to be out of town on work.

Can you still get dual nationality or did they do away with that and you have to be one or the other....??

Good Luck on the test, i hear you have to sing the national anthem, for that they wouldnt let me in cos i'd burst some ear drums

Re: Citizenship Test

Dual nationality for Canadian / Brits is no problem.

Singing "Oh Canada" is reserved for the swearing in ceremony.

Do you know if the swearing in and the test happen on the same day?

My little boy is 5 and my girl is only 11 months. I'm going to see if I can drop then off at a friends place but it will have to be at 7am so I can make it to her place and then to the Scarborough Citizenship office (plus I have to go by public transit.)

No Months apart -

Test took less than 5 minutes from the "you may open your papers" now.

Do a search on here you'll find a cool website in BC with all the answers and practise tests.

Oh God! I was caught cheating on my Canadian Citizenship Test; I had to write out, one-hundred times, "I renounce my [expletive] British citizenship." Wot a yolk.
