Citizenship test
Okay, I have had 16 months to learn everything in the book for the citizenship test, and now they have given me 2 weeks notice!!!:curse:
One week has already gone by and on Monday 10th September I have the test. Has anyone (and I am sure there are many) who have done it and can remember how hard/questions/answers which may assist my husband and I. |

Re: Citizenship test
Thanks, I have already answered some of the questions on the link and fortuanatly my husband is not an idiot, but is busy renovating my kitchen. My sons anticipate that I will pass no problem and husband will scrape a pass.

The citizenship court we went to was in a dowdy run down building in a strip mall. Not quite the salubrious surroundings we were expecting. When they take you in, you are seated well away from any other family taking the test and each candidate is spaced one seat apart. Its a breeze, study the book and you should have no problem. You'll have to get OH out of the kitchen though to do his homework! |

When we went to do ours, I asked what the pass mark was, the answer I got was 'it depends' Depends on what I ask, 'depends on the questions you get wrong'
GOOD LUCK :) |
Re: Citizenship test
Forgot to say - if (in the unlikely event) that you do fail you can appeal to a judge :)
All the best |

This being Quebec, the test and ceremony were done the same morning. Some 50 people, from 25 countries, in a ratty community centre opposite a paper factory. No Mountie. I noted with some interest that the judge, clearly of anglophone European origins, only chatted to one of the new Canadians while dishing out the certificates. |
