Question Citizenship and child

I have been in Canada ( with an absence of 1 month working for a Canadian company ) for 3 years in the Summer. I will be looking at submitting a Citizenship application in the Autumn to be sure I have the full 3 years in.

I understand, or believe, that my wife would have to do a separate application and test for herself ( not sure she will bother ) but I wondered about my daughter ( age 12 ).

Do I then sponsor her or what ? What happens with her if I wanted to apply for Citizenship for her ?

Apply for citizenship for your daughter, but as she is under 18, she does not have to do the test.

Many thanks. Wife has a fear of tests ( however easy !! ) so will probably not bother. But I will submit for daughter at the same time as mine.

If your wife is afraid of the test you could get her to try one of the online sample test that is available.

e.g. http://www.v-soul.com/onlinetest/

As British people, many of the answers are easy to guess, as they are the same in the UK.

There is also preparation material that is available online at the cic website. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resourc...over/index.asp

Once your wife becomes more familar with what she is likely to face, she may be able to overcome her fears.

As someone said on here a while ago - if you can work out which end of the pencil to write with the rest of the test is a doddle.

I got 15 from 20 but three were total guesses.
