I had the form through last week for my Landing Fees refund. I sent it back via fax, is this OK or is it best to post it?.

Hopefully you will get you will have better luck than us...I mailed our form back to them over 8 weeks ago and have received an heard .....nothing...not a darn thing...hubby landed May 6 we should have had our refund by now...come on CIC get your sh** together and send us all back our refunds...ok done ranting now

Don't want to put a spanner in the works - but we got a cheque back in about 5 or 6 weeks - from the London office. Sorry guys !! It was spent in nano-seconds, mind you !!!

Sorry about resurrecting an old thread but just to let the folks that are waiting know that we finally received our landing fee refund through the post last week from CIC. Landed on August 14th so only 5 1/2 months late.

Strangely enough Mrs Madmac had just phoned then the same day to enquire about it. Did they send someone round to our post box that same day to deposit the cheque, thereby hoping to assume an air of ultra-efficiency wiithin the Federalista Byzantine corridors of power?

Or was it a 1000 to 1 coincidence? Place your bets please.

we landed in July but have not had anything back yet. I spoke to them on wednesday and they confirmed that it hadn't been sent out, and to get back to them in May if we still don't have it.

Here's hoping our call prompted them a bit, as I really could use the money at the moment.

Can I ask, where can we get a form for the Landing Fee refund from London. Also how can we prove we paid it, we never received a receipt for it?

You can download a receipt from the CIC website and a refund form as well as long as your case is still open.

Okay - we have the money. It's in the bank so we're happy it's done and dusted.

However, as a result of the phonecall, a very helpful CIC employee has sent us out an e-mail saying that our case will be looked into and that we've not to enquire further about the refund until at least May 07

That old Scottish phrase springs to mind: "Disnae know their a**e from their elbow."

Maybe they'll give us another cheque in May? Aye right.

Can you point me in the right direction, I can't seem to find that. I can find how to recover previous payments, but seemingly only if you made them through the internet in the first place.

We too landed July 7th and received our refund at then end of Jan, so nearly 7 month wait for us, but got it in the end.

We landed june 29th ,applied for the refund in august and got the cheque last week (hence the shiny new mac laptop)
