So, what are we all doing over Christmas and the New Year (bollox to this 'holiday season' nonsense)? I'll start.
We'll be heading up to Montreal for the common-law family get together. The main action is on Xmas Eve. Little happens on Xmas Day so we will probably come back home. We both have to work during the week. Then on the 31st we're heading down to Cuba for a week. My OH is really looking forward to the prospect of New Year's Eve on a palm-fringed beach but I have my doubts as to whether we'll be conscious to sing auld lang whatever. I don't think she's done the maths.

Nothing exciting planned
Skating in the backyard (if it ever freezes) and spliting logs
Recovering from very excitable 4 year olds Xmas...It'll be a riot this year I expect.
Beats working I guess, beats packing anyway!

Christmas day at the sister in laws then boxing day at my parents. Trying to fit them all in this year being our last official UK Christmas. Then off to Vancouver and beyond late December for 2 weeks.
Definitely no palm fringed beaches for me.

Don't move too far. I'll be in TO in early March and will probably develop a thirst at some point.

Going to Cornwall (UK) to see the 'rents. Planning on some walking if the weather's good.
oooh and i forgot, go out and get p*ss drunk with me mates. It will seem like i never left.
Don't forget your "I'M CANADIAN LOOK AT ME LOOK AT ME I'M CANADIAN" t-shirt for you and your fellow companions on your Cuba trip. It is obligitory that they all match as well.
Have fun!

Packing and saying goodbye to the family. Vancouver will be still to close to the mother-in-law!
Expect lots of tears Christmas day. Will pack the mother-in-law off early evening then we are having a party with the rest of the family
Flights and accommodation booked and start work in Vancouver late January.
Still not sure whether to wish Canadians Happy Holiday, Seasons greetings or Merry Christmas (which appears to be an issue for some reason)
but anyway, Merry Christmas and a happy and prosperous New Year to everyone.

Collecting parents from Edm airport TOMORROW !!!!!!
Last minute Christmas shopping
Lovely Christmas morning with my lovely hubby, gorgeous kiddies, Mum and Dad, roaring log fire and snow on the ground outside. Couldn't ask for more.
Then we are off to The Rockies with my folks. Sleigh ride around Lake Louise, Ice Skating outdoors, relaxing and enjoying all things Christmassy !!!
Have a good one, wherever you are and whatever you do
MERRY CHRISTMAS
Talking of skating outdoors, we discovered Victoria Park in Edm at the weekend, along with a ton of other people.! Sooooo lovely.
