It's currently free admission on the weekends through Nov and Dec which is a great deal!!

They're turning on the Christmas lights downtown this weekend as well -

"Help launch the holiday season by joining the Downtown Business Association and its partners for a spectacular holiday celebration. Shop for treasures at the City Christmas Market stalls while enjoying live family entertainment on the Jingle on Stage. Watch for Santa's grand arrival this afternoon to light up Downtown, the Tree of LIghts and the Edmonton Chamber of Commerce BrightNights display. There'll be a dazzling fireworks display to wrap-up the evening's festivities. "

The Legislature doesn't light up until the 6th of December.

Typically when we did it there was no snow!!!! so it was just a horse drawn ride....but with all the Christmas decorations and everyone in costume it was wonderful.

Linda
I've been here 10 yrs and got 2 good ideas from this thread :-)
Never been to the fort in Winter, and skating in the montains could be a blast. Can anyone recommend good lakes in Jasper or Banff (ie: that are accessible)?
