Who is planning to land in Canada before Christmas?
We are because DH visa expires in early Dec. We are pretty much ready to call in the movers and go but guess what?
My Canadian passport has expired.
By the time it arrives we should really be ready or so I keep telling a frustrated DH.....

Good, now that I have got all of us together maybe you could tell me what I am supposed to be doing!
I find that my head is full and i am stressed with so much to do. Then every morning when it actually comes down to getting busy I have nothing to do.
We have arranged a garage/yard sale for the first weekend in November, lots to do there. And we really need to tackle the ATTIC! :scared:
But what else? I am getting very worried.

So much to do, so little time, but at least we get to do the rounds of Christmas parties and see everybody before we leave.
Good luck with your move.

I'm assuming that you've had some shipping quotes, sold your house or have it for sale and also your cars. At the moment our shipper has given us boxes as I want to have a good sort out as I pack- I have 3 kids- and am giving lots to charity. I am also trying to spend time with as many friends as I can to make the most of the last few weeks. I have arranged for my pet to be transported too. Most stuff I don't want is being given to friends as it's not worth much.
Packing and sorting is taking most time so get your attic cleared and cross it off the list, the time will go quickly from now.
We witnessed our friends packing up their house..4 bed 3 kids -with little prep and lots of hoarding. Not a pretty sight and it wouldn't fit the container :scared: He should have had a clear out like he said!

Yep, planning to be over early December. Going over next weekend for a week to hopefully house hunt but really stressed with the sale of the house which won't now be completed this week as we had hoped. Trying to clear out too but finding it hard - so much to do, so little time :scared:

my hardest part is getting a date in mind for when we will complete so i can book shippers, book flights etc.
our buyers want to be in by end of October but until solicitor comes through with expected completion date i just cant plan anything.
we are supposed to take possession of our canadian house 1st december but we have a clause allowing us to move this date 15 days either way which is helpful as i think it will be earlier personally.
so i know how you are all feeling - just want to get on but so much to do.
Am busy closing accounts, stopping direct debits etc giving notice to work, school and playgroup of our leaving etc.
Keep thinking of new things to do each day.
Just write everything down and tick off as you go.
No one needs this on top of Xmas but if we hadnt had that damn delay with canada house earlier this year we'd all be there by now........
