Hello everyone, I'm Tracy i have moved to Medicine Hat, Alberta with my husband and 2 boys (4 & 2).
We were fed up with waiting for all the paperwork to be sorted so decided to sell up, move to Canada and hope for the best! which definitely beats sitting it out in Stoke on Trent!!
Anyway we are glad to be here, if there is any of you on the forum within a reasonable drive from Medicine Hat who wants to meet up, please email me.
It would be nice to have some English friends (or any friends for that matter)!

We will be in Lethbridge from Feb 2007 - did think about the Hat but felt more "right" in Lethbridge.
We will be around 2 hours away.

Hi Tracy
It was interesting to see you are from Stoke. I'm from Crewe.
Hopefully my Hubby and 2 of our kids will be moving to Vancouver in June.
As far as I can see Medicine Hat is a short flight from Van.(or a long drive!)
I work with someone whose Uncle lives in the Hat. I could find out about putting you in touch with him if you like.
Let me know what you think.

What may look like a short distance on a map is in reality quite a long way.
Vancouver to Medicine Hat is approximately 1,300 km or 800 miles by road, which would make it a very long drive say 14 hours non-stop.
Also you would have to fly Vancouver to Calgary and get a connecting flight to Medicine Hat in Calgary as there is no direct service from Vancouver. With the connection such a journey could take anywere from 3 to 6 hours.
Cheers
