CHF personal account in Canada
Hi all,
Does anyone know if any banks in Canada offer personal savings accounts in swiss francs? We bank with HSBC but they stopped offering this last year. From my google searching so far, the only accounts I can find are commercial/business. Thanks. |

I think it highly unlikely.

I don't think it's likely either. My ex withdraws her alimony in CHF, I deposit to a joint TD account in dollars and she transfers the money to her account at a Swiss bank (Credit Suisse, I think). It all works smoothly enough but the fees are such that it would make no sense for a savings account. I think you'd have to leave the money in CHF for a very long time before the exchange rate shifted enough to make back the fees.
