Default Cheap Flights to Canada

HI

Can anyone please give me some advice on companies/websites etc where i can get cheap flights to Canada

My Girlfriends parents moved to edmonton about 6 weeks ago and i am planning taking my girlfriend out to see them in september as a surprise. The only people who know about the plan are myself and her parents. My girlfriend doesn't think she's going to be going out there until feb 2008 and currently thinks that we are going away in england the week that we have booked off!

I am struggling to find flights for less than a £1400 for the two of us return. I have been told that you can get tickets for £400 return for each person! Is this possible?

Please can anyone make any suggestions because it would help me out so much and make my girlfriend the happiest person alive.

Did you try Zoom? http://www.flyzoom.com/

Their Gatwick-Edmonton flight has a stopover in Winnipeg on both inbound and outbound, which is a pain, but they're cheap - out 14th Sept, back 22nd Sept is currently showing at 794 GBP total for the two of you. If you enter this discount code from Muchmor magazine, I think you'll shave a little bit off that price too - MM2007ZA .

Hi
You can get direct flights at around £400 from Air Canada to Edmonton in September but you might have to leave it to the last minute to catch one of their Autumn seat sales.

Other options to check out like Canadian Affair and Zoom have already been covered. If you don't mind sclepping through the US you might be able to get an indirect flight slightly cheaper.

So, shop around and let us know what you find!

Cheers
Flossie

I have tried this option from Manchester and they are more expensive - they also put about 6 hours + onto your journey time.

Not very nice

Just want to throw in another one I was investigating last night. Air Transat (curtesy Thomas Cook airlines it appears) has some good prices & more direct flight options then the big names.
