Hi,
We have our permanent resident visas and are planning to spend a week in May in the Halifax / Eastern Shore region as we want to find a house to rent, sort out bank accounts etc. We then plan to return permanently to live in the Eastern Shore area 2 weeks after our trip.
Does any one know of any cheap accommodation to stay in for a week in either the Halifax or Eastern Shore region? We don't mind basic, as it will be just myself and my wife coming out for a week.
Many Thanks
John

We used this website to find cottages to rent when we went on our first recce this year:
http://www.cottagelink.com/cottlink/...tia/lns1.shtml
A variety of prices, and all over NS, but worth having a browse.
there is also this site:
http://www.stayinnovascotia.com/properties/
and this one:

Hi There
Could not recommend the seaboard B&B at lawrencetown highly enough> the owners Iris and harland are fantastic hosts and rates are great.
We stayed there on both our recces and it was ideal.
