HI
I would like to here from anyone who has waited more than 7 months for their assessment after receiving AOR from London.
The AOR advises not to contact before 6 months but I am unsure weather to fax them or wait a bit longer.
Any ideas ?????
Thanks

Glad to here I am not alone.
Have you or are you going to send a fax ??
I want too but dont want to disrupt if you know what I mean.
My case is not straight forward I have other applications they are obviously comparing too. I think this for me is what is taking all the time. I cannot access my e-client at all its so frustrating.
Is your application straight forward ??
Thanks for reply

Hope to here from you.

Hi April
I hope this helps.
I applied back in August 2001 and received AOR two weeks after. The AOR stated that I would hear further within 6 months. When I hadn't heard anything, exactly 6 months to the day I sent a fax to the CHC London office chasing information. Three days later I received an interview waiver. I like to think my fax had helped to speed the process up but who knows. Anyway by mid March I received the medical papers and completed medical on 9 May. The medical papers stated that I would hear within 2-3 months after completion of medical. However to this day I have heard nothing despite sending two faxes chasing.
Its a painful process! Originally posted by april:

My AOR says dont contact within 15-20 but the information booklet that I received with my application pack supplies a form which says use this form to contact if you have no communication from CHC within 6-12 months.
Why are they trying to confuse people !!
I have decided not to speak unless spoken too !
Some people will be glad to know!!

Try and find a friend with a fax machine, i also don't have a fax machine
but a friend offered to send it for me and CHC London replied to their
machine and they just scanned teh fax and emailed it to me which was very
helpful.
You could also just try snail mail, it's only gonna take a day to get there
if you send it first class and they may even pay more attention to a letter
than a fax as i presume almost everything people send them asking stuff is
via fax.
I believe it says on the CHC London website that they wont normally respond
unless it's more than 6 months after their last contact or something like
that, most of the time if it's within the stated time then there isnt much
to say but wait.

Hi April
I agree, it's unnecessarily confusing. Clearly they've expanded their published timelines since I applied. I suggest you use the form provided if you haven't heard within at least 6months. You could also apply to CAIPS for further info after 6 months.Originally posted by april:
