Question Changing cash currency

Hello,

I posted the same question a week ago in the Immigration forum but got no replies, so let me ask just one more time here: does anyone has any good/bad experience/advice about changing foreign currency in cash in Canada? Looking at best rates, of course.

I'm going to be landing in a couple of weeks in Niagara Falls, yipeeee!

thanks.

I bank with Barclays and they have told me that i can withdraw money for ATMs in canada at NO cost, and the exchange rates is better than changing sterling to dollars.

So we fly to Toronto tomorrow , taking a few dollars to keep us going but using my bank card for cash, saves hassle and changing money/Travellers checks etc.

Thanks, Gary, but I'm driving from the US where I currently live and I'm carrying cash that is not US or Canadian dollars but Euros. (It's a long story). I'm also keeping my US credit cards and accounts for a while.
