Hi,
Having only sundry British qualification, to qualify to a telecom position I have been asked to do a "CCNA certificate" in 6 months. Has anyone on this forum had to do it? Is it difficult? equivalent to HNC HND or higher?
What and how do they test?
I very much appreciate any help,
Gezza

Yes done it. Nowhere near an HNC/ HND. Can be done either by a 1 week classroom course, or buying the book and studying it. The exam is a mix of multi choice and simulation, pass mark is quite high so not much room for winging it. Best to get some hands on time with some cisco kit, either by simulator or cheap 2nd user stuff on ebay.

I bought a couple of books, used some simulators for practice and passed the test on my second attempt. I think the certification expires after 3 years. I never used it for much though. It is quite challenging.
