Hi I have read on here best to go through a broker for car insurance. Does anyone know a good one in the Whitby/Ajax/Oshawa area of Ontario? I have the certificate thing from the DVLA and have also exchanged my license for an Ontario one> I have also read that the insurance is not determined by the size of car is this correct? Not that I can afford anything remotely decent, fred flintstone will probably turn his nose up at whatever we pick but just would like to keep all costs down as much as possible. Thank you folks.

Johnson Insurance have a Whitby Office and they recognise UK no claims. No idea re how they work it out - though we did have a tiny car and then got a big car and the premium didn't increase.

Also give TD Primmum a try. Be prepared though. It will be expensive. At best you can get it from extortion to just being expensive.
