Default Car hire in Canada

Hello all

I wonder if those of you who have hired a car to travel around in Canada have done so on arrival there or before your trip from the UK. Have you found it is cheaper to hire the car from the UK? Any good/bad experiences from the company you have used? Thanks a lot for your help.

Hi

We have used www.wheelsabroad.com three times now and have found them to be very competitive and helpful. They are not actually a car hire firm but an agency to book through. They tend to use enterprise car hire, but I found it easier and cheaper to book through wheels abroad than to go to enterprise direct.
When comparing like for like, check out details like - is spouse included to drive or is there an extra charge for that? Some companies charge $5 a day for spouse to drive so look at whats actually included in the price.
Same with milage - is it unlimited?
Can you drive in the USA (if you are likely to visit during your stay).
Just a few hints. Hope it helps.
