Hi
We are off to check out Vancouver and Vancouver Island next month, can anyone recommend a car hire company in Vancouver that is reasonable, have been searching and they all seem quite expensive for 10 days £200+
Any advice would be appreciated
thank you

If you havent booked through a package then wait until you arrive. Arrivals will have ranks of car hire companies, i always use Thrifty (i thi nk thats how you spell it, sorry if its not) However all major car ompanies will fight for your custom !!! so play one of against another it wont take long

NEVER pay in UK! You can pay the £ price in $ if you wait or better still book online. eg nearer to $200 for the 10 days if you book online. You can download a confirmation online and if you have a Visa Gold Card, then you automatically have car insurance if you use it to pay. (Check first of course!)
Have a safe trip and enjoy!

hi
not sure if they have cars on that site or not.. basically I use it as a reference (point being once you book, you are stuck.. cant really cancel without penalty)
anyway, the airport is probably a good bet but for prices try that, or even budget, avis, thrifty, alamo.
try for unlimited miles.
and careful on all the insurance, it all adds up.. find out if you are covered at all.. some times certain credit cards have it built in, or your own policy may have something
