Capital Gains Tax advice or experience
Hi All,
We moved to Canada back in 2017, we're in the process of getting our PR on EE - should have it in May this year.
We have a home in the UK we're considering selling and wanted to hear from people who have done similar and how they navigated Cpital Gains tax in the UK. Our canadian accountant has reduced our risk of capital gains tax here in Canada by declaring it as our primary residence etc.
So, anyone wants to share rough figures they paid on capital gains tax in the uk, did you use an accountant to calculate it?
Thanks in advance,
Leigh

You might find this of use: https://britishexpats.com/wiki/Tax_a...e_Sales-Canada
I presume that you have declared your house in the UK if the value (together with any other money in bank accounts or investments) is $100,000 or more...
