Canadian coffee

Even though I am a daytime tea drinker, I do love my coffee in the evening.
What are the best Canadian brands of fine ground coffee for mu espresso machine?
I do like a dark continental roast here, so what should I look for?

I like the Nabob blends found in most supermarkets, if you really want authentic espresso go to Italian Deli's and they normally stock a host of European blends.

I don't believe you can grow coffee in Canada so really none of it is Canadian coffee. If you are buying your own then best is to buy the beans on the day they are roasted and then only grind them as you need them. If you want pre packaged then Lavazaa is a good brand, they have different levels of quality. I'm drinking one of their more expensive blends that I got as a free sample and it's pretty good. Most brands that you buy are international anyway, Lavazaa I believe is Italian and if you go for regular brands it's all nestle or maxwell house or folgers etc. There are some good coffees from B.C , I'm not sure if any is actually grown out there but it's imported and roasted and blended there. Kicking Horse is one that comes to mind.

Years ago I visited a coffee farm in Costa Rica where they grew the best coffee I ever drank. I bought 2 kg's to take home and since then I'm looking everywhere but nowhere I can find Cafe Britt. Maybe they don't export it to the Netherlands.
But what about Canada? Anyone ever see Cafe Britt somewhere?

I agree with Ray, Nabob is good coffee.

This might be only available in BC, but Salt Spring Coffee is rather wonderful! (http://www.saltspringcoffee.com/)
