Re: as canadian as...
The winning answer in the "As Canadian as..." competition in the Globe was
"possible under the circumstances." |
Re: as canadian as...
Where will your recce be?

Re: as canadian as...
Visiting Tim Hortons' coffee shops, everyone seems to rave about those. Personally I thought they were ok, but nothing special - visit one and decide for yourself.

Re: as canadian as...
Shovel some snow. Have a Keith's for breakfast. Eat peameal and poutine. Shoot some varmints.

Re: as canadian as...
ah Vancouver...the Capilano bridge in North Van is pretty cool - very touristy, but you have to be brave to cross it! (I did :D)
If you can get out of town to the North, heading towards Squamish there's a supposedly good mine museum on the way although didn't get time to see it myself. |
Re: as canadian as...
SMALL TOWN HOCKEY

You've also got to go to the arena wearing shorts unless it's actually snowing outside. |

If you're looking for a hotel, the Granville Island is my favorite.
Got its own microbrewery, the restaurant overlooks False Creek and you can catch a waterbus to most of the touristy type stuff. |
