Re: Canada TV
Also a few francophone channels here (Alberta) but I presume there are a lot more in the east.
Aboriginal network also which anytime I've had a look at seemed to be predominately Inuit culture.

LMAO Mike, its the same here we pay ĆĀ£40 a month for SKY TV and get around 60 channels and there are only 2 good ones, SKY SPORTS and SKY NEWS, the rest are a load of crap, advertising selling channels, aution channels, its pathetic, dont you just hate television adverts, they drive me WILD WITH ANGER although my favs are the National Geographic and Discovery, they are worth it.

Re: Canada TV
What bothers me here are the amount of ad-breaks throughout a program and where they are placed. Always just after the opening credits and then just prior to the closing credits. I was watching "The Office" on BBC Canada last night and I think the show is timed for forty minutes as opposed to it's usual thirty in the UK.

Kind of ironic that by loading so many commercials into a show, we now bypass them completely rather than sit through them. I wonder what the advertising execs who pay for the commercials would make of that.
Whole idea of commercials on "BBC"Canada seems wrong to me ,especially if you are paying a digital subscription for the chanel in the first place.

I must admit I sort of turn off when adverts come on, or channel hop (but then you just catch the adverts on another channel).
The thing that really gets me are the movies. The other night American Pie 2 was on. They crucified it, changed wording, cut bits out etc. There was no point watching it.

I know!!. It's terrible.
Actually I taped the "The Office" last night as my DVD of the first series was lost in our move. (Thanks Allied Pickfords). Anyway I was watching the show as I taped it and hit pause when the ads came on. Sat through the ads, then we got to the bit where it's like a video clip highlighting that we are watching BBC Canada and we are sucked into believing that we are heading back to the show only to go into more ads again. It was like an ad break in between the ads!
