Re: Canada Post?

Stuff seems to take forever to get down here to the arse of Canada....

The postman is a nice bloke though - he says to me "here's your post Mr xxxx" or "nothing today Mr xxxx" if I'm outside.

The Royal Mail postman we had back in the UK was a miserable git - didn't even speak if you answered the door for a recorded delivery or something!

At least the postie doesn't leave a big pile of elastic bands on the path outside my front door over here

Re: Canada Post?

It takes at least two weeks to get mail from ontario to bc and sometimes longer going in the other direction.

It took less time for family and friends to receive our postcards from europe.....

Ever thought of Changing your name to Yorkshire Terrier?

Never stops with its annoying yapping, totally pointless and of no use to anyone for anything.

Re: Canada Post?

Update: Onto week 5 of waiting for that first lot of letters and still no sign of either of them...an insurance abstract and a credit report which I paid for and both of which I really could do with soon.

We are also still waiting for two birthday cars which were sent more than 10 days ago plus waiting on a package which is the second one the person has sent now and it appears it isn't gonna appear either as it's been nearly two months now.

So 6 items of mail gone AWOL and a damaged item. Not impressed and not exactly sure what to do about it! :frown:

Canada Post

I live in Beaumont, a few miles from Leduc. The service from Canada Post is a disgrace. We frequently get other people's mail delivered to our box, and our own mail, even bills and checks, has been put in the wrong box. Makes identity theft very easy, doesn't it? I've seen lineups at the local postal outlet of people whose mail has been misdelivered. I've had items I've bought returned to the sender because I was never notified that the parcels had arrived and that I had to pick them up at the post offiice.
Complaining to the sorting office in Nisku is a waste of time.
File ALL complaints with Canada Post Customer Service and keep a detailed record of every instance of their terrible service. File your complaints via the Internet - they'll probably never get there if you mail them. For good measure, raise some steam with the Canada Post Ombudsman and make it clear that you hold Canada Post responsible if your identity is ripped off or if you lose financially in any other way.
Write a letter to your local paper urging other victims of this lousy service to complain.
If enough people get as mad as hell, you might actually get some decent service.

in the same way that UHT milk is more expensive than its fresh counterpart, i have found that sometimes surface mail costs more than airmail...

i dont understand why either!
