Well, gryph, it's actually time to go home! We were fine being a family of international gypsies while the kids were small, but we always said we'd go back to the UK when they got to High School age, and that's just about where we're at.

The kids have never really spent any time in the UK, so it'll be good for them to develop some sense of identity with the UK. Plus, family will be closer etc.

We're lucky in that we have a nice house in a nice part of the UK, with good schools nearby etc. We went overseas for the adventure of it, not because we wanted to "escape" the UK, so we have no problems going back for a while. We're really looking forward to it, actually.

Moving away from Canada "for the kids"? Now i'm confussled ;)

Hee-hee! That is exactly why we're leaving!! ;)

I must admit, I've never understood anyone who says they're moving to Canada "for the kids". But that's another argument.

I learned about this when she completed her run thingy earlier this year.

Well, I could say 'me, I wake up every morning and thank my lucky stars for the gift I've been given' but no, I cannot lie, it's him, definitely him - luckiest man alive! IMHO

Although I checked the "leave tomorrow" option, my hubby is a "til I die person" so the above statement is more accurate ;)

They will bury me here.

I have discovered that it is possible to build a good life here and be able to maintain it without ever really feeling the need to change it much. I have every intention of living in my little house then being buried here. That may change if the number of houses being built nearby were to increase too much, but I would find another distant retreat if that happened. It isn't as if there isn't room.
