Canada Here we come

Canada Here we come
Hi all ,
well in 7 days time we will be in Ottawa on our first reccie.Hopefully it will be 17 days of fun, excitement and information gathering.
I am still along way of from applying to move to Canada but my first step has been a change in my career. I have moved from the Chemical Manufacturing industry to the oil industry with BP as a Operations Technician,my thinking being that since there is a massive oil and gas industry over there this hopefully will increase my chances of getting a job.
I understand that this means moving west for that kind of opportunity. but as my family family live in Ottawa they will be able to give us a taste of the Canadian way of life come the next few weeks.
We have booked the Albert at Bay hotel in downtown Ottawa for the first part and will decide after the first week were to go next,any suggestions bearing in mind we fly back from JC Munro airport.
