Default Canada Expo

Hi all

My husband and I are visting the Canada Expo in Leeds this weekend. Just wondering if anyone can offer advice on how to make ourselves stand out to employers. I have some experience of working in recruitment, so have a good idea of what generally helps, but wondered if there's anything specific Candadian employers would like to see?

My husband is a pipe-fabricator, having worked for BAE Systems since leaving school 13 years ago, so his experience is very specific. Are there any particular things he should highlight which would be of interest to Canadian employers?

I am an Occupational Psychologist, with varied experience since obtaining a BSc and MSc - research, project coordination, student support, lecturing.

From what I've read on the Expo website, there will be more opportunities for my husband than me, in terms of employers at the expo - is that a fair assumption?

Any advice appreciated, from those who've been to an Expo, or from those having made the move to Canada.

Thanks,
Janie

Hello,

In the same position as mrsjanie, heading to Leeds expo. My background is construction and any advice how to maximize the expo would be greatly appreciated.
