Did you buy the Daily Mail today?
You might find this useful - http://britishexpats.com/wiki/Canada_versus_Australia
Please, to preserve everyone's sanity, learn how to use a shift key for capitals.... Using all capitals is considered SHOUTING!

firstly a little tip..is to not post in caps...in internet lingo it is considered as shouting..
and can be difficult for some to read.i have not been to Nova Scotia..but there are quite a few on here who have and who live there and love it!!
i have however lived on the sunshine coast in Qld. and you may want to look at the australian forum. as there are quite a few brits etc who have moved to there.
i personaly loved the sunshine coast. beautiful weather all year round. even in winter i was still swimming in the ocean and wearing shorts through the day and just a light long sleeve top at night.
i have 2 cousins who are both in the building industry and are raising their families at maroochydore. they love it!!!
here is one thread i found to get you started..

i would suggest looking at townsville aswell. a beautiful area. i also have a friend who has lived up there her whole life! a great place and just a hop skip and a jump from cairns and the tableands~ hmmm breathtaking
http://britishexpats.com/forum/showt...ght=townsville
this is also another great thread. shows just how beautiful the area is and the kind of activities for the kids etc.

of course there are always some negative things to be had anywhere. some people just dont' mesh with an area for all different sorts of reasons. it's a big decision to make and i am sorry i can't be more helpful.

Well it appears that if you apply for both, by the time you get the Canadian PR you could have tried Aus for a couple of years.
Then decide

I'd have to say Canada... less crawling things that are likely to kill you!! Before anybody says about the bears, please, even a half blind person can see them coming!

I keep looking though ..... where's Mrs BC?

Aus never appealed to me, but we came here (Calgary) cos we visited and liked the place rather than any burning desire to quit the UK.
My kids (14 and 19 when we landed) say why didn't we come years ago!!!!

You want me to send you a pic of one maybe?? I sometimes wake to think there is one by my bed, and then realise it is just my Newfoundland who has broken into the bedroom cos she is lonely on her own!!!

Ah yes, and they are not all confined to the outside edges of the country either... so that is a plus!
