Canada?
Here's my story:
From the age of 17 until the age of 21 I lived in the US, for family reasons I left and moved here in UK where I met my girlfriend 2 years ago. Btw she hates US, psht Brits no wonder lol. I'm on the verge of losing my mind I miss US man.. Story short after talking about it for so long she said fine we will move to North America but not US, rather Canada. Yeah Canada? Right, now how different canada is to us ? Metric system right ? What do y'all think? |
Re: Canada?
As other posters have said, Canada is USA light, with health care and higher taxes.

Re: Canada?
Canada is becoming the dumping ground for people from a host of countries who are pissed off at their own countries state of affairs and lack of ability to find decent jobs otherwise why are so many wanting to come.
We know its not for the price of auto insurance or cheese. Are they coming for the weather mmm minus 40C temps or snow on the ground for several months. Definitely not coming for cheap airfares within Canada although we are nearer to Mexico, Cuba, Jamaica and the Dominican Republic for that 1 week all inclusive vacation in Jan, Feb or March. Culture and history and architecture nope none of that here. So one wonders why are all these expats here or wanting to come as it beats me. |

Re: Canada?
Cool, good enuff for me.. I probably wouldn't have a chance to get approved for a visa, my gf would tho considering she got a master degree and stuff.. Actually do you guys think she would get approved for a work visa, she's a GCSE teacher here in UK.. Currently working for a college in the city.

Doubtful, I don't think ESPN is available here (not the real ESPN). But you wouldn't be getting it in the UK either would you? Or is it available there? |

She would need to be licensed in whichever province you settled in but Canada already has more than enough teachers. |
Re: Canada?
So what r the chances really.. where would she have to apply to get this license to teach over there ?
