There are some very recent threads about truck driving (one titled Yanke I think)
Also, you should ctry the search thingy at the top right as you might pull up loads more threads.
You are very brave driving a truck together - I can just imagine the sort of arguments we would have if we tried that!
Best of luck!

What ever you do, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE do not contact an agency as there is NO NEED as drivers are in such high demand. You can send your resume off to a company and they will be on the phone to you within the hour asking you all sorts of questions which always lead to an interview.
The three main companys that are always mentioned on here are Yanke, Siemens and Westcan. Just look on the thread "Wages for Truckers" and you will find loads of other info on other trucking companies.
Please don't waste your money and go to a recruitment agency. If you need any help or advice then please contact me as I have been sat in the same place as you are now.

There is a thread called "Wages for Truckers". It is a very long thread but it is packed with loads of really good info on driving in Canada - I started it before we went to Canada for Job interviews with 3 main Trucking Companies.

The US trucking firm Schneider is currently running radio ads looking for husband/wife teams. They say that new teams get to drive one of their 800 new trucks (it's a big firm, 800 new trucks is a serious investment). I know they're not based here but I think I might try them anyway.

This is their Canada page:
http://www.schneiderjobs.com/drivers/Canadian.html
Note that I only heard their adverts, I don't know if they are a good or a bad firm to work for.

Hi Mythic,
Just a tip, plough through all the websites you can that ive posted here, you'll find about 500 companies if not more, i sent over 300 CV's. Some replies were just stupid ie. come next week and Buy Lease a truck
and so.Teams are searched for by just about every company, large or small. Then search the area of Canada of the companies that take your fancy,on the coast,in the mountains,on the flat plains what ever. Dont limit yourselves to one type of work,or want to do the same as you're doing now. Remember they want and need you just as much as you them
I spent 3 months just finding companies, checking out the area, filtering out types of work, till i had a short list of 5 companies in regions from east to west even did 2 webcam interviews,a hell of a lot cheaper than flying out there. At the end of the day only you and your good lady know whats right for your futures. Pump this site for all its worth, but do the leg work your selves, its more rewarding to know at that you control your destinies...Good luck
