Default can i start common law sponsership application

Hi i have been reading through threads to get advice but iam still not sure if i can still apply for common law now,me and my canadian gf have know each other for around 3 years,i can prove we have know each other for 2,as we have lots and lots of emails and msn history, joint bank statements between us,we can prove she came to england in sept 07 until dec 07,she then came back for a 2 week visit in may 08,then i applied for a bunac visa and we are now living together in canada from aug08,i would guess we cant as we have not been living solid for one full year with each other,i could put the application in a month or two before my bunac expires but then it would only be 10 months of living together from the time of application, are they strict on it being 12 month from application ?,i also think i can apply for a open work permit when i submit my pr application as when the sponsership gets approved within hopefully 2 months i will have a open work permit while my pr gets processed so i can still work, can anyone tell me what is the best way to go about this ?

Hi - you cannot apply until you have been living together for *at least* 12 months continually. So you will need to wait until August 2009 until applying, in the meantime make sure you gather lots of proof i.e. rent book in joint names, utility bills in both names, insurance in both names, wills naming each other as beneficiaries, joint bank account, etc.

Good luck.
