Dear BE folk
My BC PNP application is submitted and processing time is estimated at 14 - 16 weeks from 24th July 2008.
All going well I would hope to enter with a work permit soon after the nomination comes through.
My understanding is that my CIC PR application would still go to London (pls correct me if I'm wrong)
My main question is once I am working in Canada on a work permit and my PR application is being processed am I able to come and go? (I'll need to as I will still have loose ends to tie up in the UK)
Thank you for any help

No problem with an out-of-country application provided your existing documentation, passport, visa (if needed), and work permit, all remain valid.

Don't see a problem. I visited Canada on at least three occasions whilst my application was in process. However, I did make a point of being up front with the Immigration officer on my arrival at Pearson (Toronto Airport) that I did have an application for PR in process. They know that anyway as soon as they swipe your passport and its on the 'system, and all they did was make sure I had a return ticket....

Thanks for replies.
That sounds like great news.
JAJ -
Just a point of clarification - by 'out of country' I'm assuming you mean out of the UK while my application is being processed in London??
Macadian -
So While your PR application to CIC was being processed in London (?) You were taking trips to Canada. Were you already working at this point on a temporary work permit or did you wait for PR status?
Thank you - It's so much nicer to talk to folk rather than trawl endlesley through government websites.
