We put ours in checked luggage. No problems. We didn't declare them but they were on our GTF list.

You might want to make room for a few brollies and rain coats for the festive season.

done and done ive been watching the weather with interest. been stranded at gatwick in the snow before and it was bad enough on my own. but with three kids... no way! looks like it will be rainy but ok here and then possibly rainy but not snowy there thats all i want. just want to get there dont need a sunny day - those will doubtless follow in the spring.

we are all wearing our heavy coats and jumpers on to the plane ( layers, love layers lol) i did toy with getting kids to wear their wellies and pack their shoes but weight restrictions are not that tight.

Oh it's not that cold, and i doubt it'll snow any time soon away from the mountains. The sunny days will be along in June i reckon

My mum flies in today so i told her to wear what she'd normally wear in the UK.

Summer, spring maybe, unlikely. My first year in BC, it precipitated for 6 months and snowed for one month in the middle of that. Fortunately I was not home much, doing a lot of runs to Asia and Australia, so missed most of it.

Few will know what a wellie (rubber boots) is and a jumper (sweater) is someone who commits suicide (jumps off a bridge)

Remember that movie The Goonies? You know the scene where the little chubby kid starts crying and revealing everything he had done since the age of 4? Thats how I imagine you at the airport!!!!
