Default Can I apply for Visitor visa while my PR file is in process?

I'm planning to visit Canada for a week (as a tourist). Would it effect my PR immigration process? Do I need to inform the appropriate CHC (where I applied for PR) that I would be visiting Canada?
Anyone ... any info .... any experiences?

Seeking admission to Canada as a visitor while a PR case is pending will not have any
adverse effect on your PR application. It is not necessary to advise the visa office
of such an intention.
