Aha, so where do you think you will head in Canada?

I'm going to see what the labor market is like really. The great thing about the CAMRT is that it is accepted in a bunch of provinces. Ideally, I would like British Columbia, but not necessarily Vancouver.

Radiation Techs in Canada don't 'red dot', so there were no questions about that. However I do remember a chest x-ray with an obvious NG tube in the right lung - and the question centred around what you'd do next.

The other part fledermaus seems to have missed is that (at least from the exam) skull x-rays are routine too. Having said that, I also visited a hospital during the same trip and had a chat with the operations manager who implied that skull x-rays aren't at all routine! Perhaps that's because they'd just got their shiny new CT scanner - I don't know.

EDIT: Oops posted this from my wife's BE account not my own! Sorry any confusion.

CAMRT is nationwide. Some provinces such as Ontario require you to be registered with CMRTO which is the licensing body, the equivalent to the HPC.

It's not for me to question a doctor's decision. I just do as I am told.

I would. Except I'm working today. This is one side of my current job I won't miss.
