Luckily a masters degree and my age mean I have around 480 anyway 
. Now I just need the funds in my account and the hassle of obtaining an Argentine police record.

Welcome to BE & good luck with your application process to come to Canada
As a suggestion there is a member under the poster name 'pinecone' on the Canada thread that has lived in NZ, is currently in OZ who has started so many threads on BE about Canada questions.
Many many very good questions as well as BE member responses about all things Canada... where to live, housing, children etc
