Calling FL - Importing a motorcycle

Hi, Help,
Has anyone imported a bike from Europe? Can this be done? I've had a little look on the government site and got a little lost.
Thanks

Thanks guys, that's all making as much sense as astro physics to me. Can I import a 1986 RZ 350 from the Netherlands?
Thank you for helping the blond chic in Alberta lol

It'll depend if it's a left or righthand drive. Some provinces won't register a righthand drive vehicle.

It is over 15 years old. Call Transport Canada and a broker to get the low down. These are the guys I use https://www.pcb.ca/brokerage-canada.cfm

You'd of thought, but not the old British bikes. The brake & gear foot levers were the opposite of everyone else up until 1975 ish.
In fact come to think of it, my old mountain bike from the UK has the front brake lever on the right and the rear on the left. My neighbor borrowed it once and almost went arse over tit.

seriously, it must be the way the headlight dims on a m/c that defines it as RH or LH drive.

OK, so what makes a car LH or RH drive is which side you're sitting in relation to the centre line of the road and in the case of a UK car, not continental as they drive on the opposite side of the road as per US/CA, you sit on the right and headlights dip to the left .
Which side the controls on a m/c makes no difference as both feet work for either brakes or gears , doesn't make any difference why you're waggling yer foot around but does make a difference if you're blinding on coming vehicles with your headlight, likewise if you're in a RH drive car and trying to overtake on the LH side of a vehicle bit more of a problem.
That's where the difficulties arise because they are not set up for driving on the opposite side of the road.
