Default Calling all Welders

hey there folks, hope everyone is ok

I am in Edmonton on a 12 month work visa. I am a coded welder in the Uk. I am seeking work, hopefully get to Fort Mcmurray if all goes to plan.

However, my 'plan' is not exactly going the way i 'planned'. I am finding it hard to find companies that take on 'foreigners'

Any help or info would be much appreciated.

Do you have your red seal? To work (and get paid the rate) as a journeyman welder I believe you need this to work in Alberta. Otherwise you'll just be a welders helper and there are plenty of helpers about. Why fort mac? There is a lot more work in fort nelson right now, why don't you try there?
