Hi,
Been searching through this forum for a while now and it looks like a quality source of information. My partner and I have been considering a move to Canada at some point in our lives and have decided to travel to Calgary for a couple of weeks next year (September time).
Can anybody recommend a decent accommodation, preferably West of Calgary in Banff or the outskirts. We are looking for a self-catering apartment or holiday home as a base for some scouting.
Thankyou.
Mike.

Hi Mike,
try Canmore, its just 30 mins down the road and alot cheaper. Plus its just out of the national park so you dont have to pay tolls.
We loved it its a wonderful place to visit

For sure, Canmore is way nicer than Banff.
I know a very nice Brit realtor who sorted me out with a basement apartment in Somerset in SW Calgary for a one week visit when I came over to check Calgary out - PM me if you want their contact details.
