Cadbury's Drinking Chocolate

OK, I know it's a long shot...has anyone found any of this over in Canada (Ontario specifically)? I'm allergic to dairy, and Cadbury's drinking chocolate has no dairy in it, so I can enjoy the lovely Cadbury's goodness (and cover up the slightly less than lovely taste of soy milk). Highlights etc. all have milk powder in it, and I've found every chocolate powder here has as well. I'd rather not resort to the old 'cocoa powder and sugar' method, so my only alternative at the moment is Nestle's syrup (again, no dairy...but not a patch on Cadbury's!).

At the moment I use Fleischmans...although when I was in Sobeys the other day I noticed 2 types of Becel that appeared dairy free (I didn't look too closely, because I wasn't actually shopping for margarine). One was in a pink container, the other a white one, and I believe they were both marked 'RFS', whatever that is.

Edit: just went to Becel's website and found this:

Becel, Becel Salt Free, and Becel Light contain both lactose and whey. Becel RSF does not contain either lactose or whey.

I'm a vegetarian - leaning towards veganism so use very little in the way of dairy products. I use (no-name)soya or canola oil margarine, $1.89 x 2lb tub from Zehrs; it does have a pleasant taste, honest...even my picky OH likes it!

Loblaws and its many related stores (including Zehrs) sell a "Presidents choice" Celeb brand lactose free one. Its dairy free and comes in a white tub with yellow lettering and bit of blue. Its a lot cheaper than the Fleishmans one which was the only other one I found. Most of the others sneak some whey powder in.

My wife used to be lactose intolerant, but found it was really related to the pre/post natal vitamins she had been taking for the last few years. She stopped taking them, now pizza is back on the menu.

We still buy it now, partly so there is demand and they keep making it. Dairy intolerance was no fun to live with, you have my sympathy.

Ive a feeling the "no name" brand hot chocolate was dairy free, but I could be wrong. The no name coffee whitener is dairy free, which made it a life saver for cups of tea and the like.

Yeah, Mrs M was going to make it then found out you can buy it at Zehrs.

Cooking + Madmac = Bit like throwing water on a chip pan fire.

sounds like my type of lady!! Have friends that have hinted that i was like Rhea from Butterflies.(old UK tv programme, not sure if peeps will remember it?) or Susan from My Family on tv!!!!

I was brought a magnet for my fridge that states i kiss better than i cook and a wooden plague from a friend that says i do 3 different types of meals-take out, microwave and frozen !!! emmm think they maybe trying to tell me something......although i have MADE a lasagne since i have been here that husband told me was excellent

Thanks for that I've just been out and bought some! I shall turn some of it into mince pies! I shall keep an eye out for hot choc.

Thanks for the marge, I've been and bought some and it's half the price of the other brand I was buying. I shall look out for hot choc.
