Default Cable/Satellite in Ontario?

Hello All.
I know this may seem like a 'how long is a piece of string' question, but I was wondering what peoples opininon's were, if any, thay had regarding these packages?.
I'm currently on cable in the UK, 10Mb t'internet, cable TV and phone. Regarding the TV I have the 'job lot' Movies, Kids etc, are there these type of packages available in the Ontario region?.(I've done a search, but struggling to find owt).
My reason for asking are the kids, they continually watch Raven, Hannah
Montana, Spongebob. How they can watch the same episodes over & over is beyond me , but I'm sure the moods will kick in if they can't .
I'm focusing on the kids because if I can keep them happy , I'm sure myself and 'mom' will be.
All thoughts expressions much appreciated.

Depends where you'll be. You can get satellite TV (google Star Choice) anywhere but they don't provide internet. In urban areas you can get a cable subscription such as you have in the UK (google Rogers).

We're moving to rabbit ears only for the TV as we don't get any use out of the TV cable/satellite.

Everything depends on where you live and what services you have available. We live just outside Belleville, but far enough away that we cannot get cable.

We had 10mb internet in the UK with full Sky package and here we have satellite internet (40ft pole in garden) which gives us 2mb on average for $65 per month.

We have Star Choice TV with movies and five packages with costs about the same. The only other choice we had was Bell, but we want as little to do with Bell as possible.

Unfortunately we do have Bell for the land line phone, but use Skype to phone UK and relatives in Spain as it is free.

If you live in a city or town, you will have more options.

Bell is the only utility that wanted a deposit from us before they would even talk to us ($200 refundable after a year). Their attitude in the shop to set up the connection was terrible.

We then went for three months without a bill and when I phoned them, thinking they were quarterly we found out they were monthly and had actually missed three. They had set up the address wrong. This was corrected and I paid the three bills on the phone but was then told I would loose my deposit as I had not paid on time!!!!!!!!!!!!

After quite a few calls and arguments, hopefully we will now get our deposit back.

We have also had a few problems with our line and phoning abroad which took ages to sort out.

If you hate automated phone calls you will hate having to phone Bell, you have to speak to an automated woman - can't remember her name and say what you need info on, but of course she can never understand our accent, so we end up going round the houses until finally she gives up and puts us through to a human - who is usually no better!

I haven't yet spoken to a Canadian who has a good word to say about them.
