Hi Petesdragon,

Hubby & I bought a 4 acre plot in the autumn of 2006 - we have applied under skilled worker visa & the plan is hubby will do build himself (well certainly the majority) himself once we're there, so we've done loads of research re. regs, planning etc.

Our plot (sorry, that should be lot) is in Alberta, we could buy up to 21 acres with out being permanent residents, not sure if that changes depending on province.

All the best with everything,

Arris

Welcome. Not many folks moving to Lab City I imagine! Land I think is very much at a premium there as demand outstrips supply with the boom in the mining industry. Look on www.mls.ca and perhaps get in touch with some local real estate agents?

Hope you like the cold.
