Good morning all
Hope everyone had a good weekend.
Am getting ready to apply for the non-student working visa with BUNAC and realised that my passport has my parents' address on (I bought and moved into my first place in February). Since the passport doesn't expire until February 2017 I didn't want to spend the money getting it updated just yet. Is this going to cause a problem with my application? What with all the other costs involved it would be nice not to have to add this to the list!
Any advice or comments most welcome.
Regards

Shouldn't be a problem, based on my experience with BUNAC at least. I applied for a non student work visa in 2005 and the only tricky thing I seem to remember was that you needed to be in the UK to be issued the visa (I was in Aussie at the time) but I doubt this would affect you.
Hope this helps and have a great trip!

Do you have a UK passport? As far as I know they don't have your address on it, there's an option to enter emergency addresses but your address shouldn't be physically on it. I haven't got a clue what address I gave when I got my passport but it almost certainly isn't the one I have now. I'm over here on the Bunac non-student visa and I didn't have any problems with the application

Cheers

Hi Lucie
Thanks loads for this. I spent ages on that website earlier today and didn't find that!!
How are you finding it out there? Did you have a job before you went? Are you hoping to stay out there long term?
Cheers again

I didn't have a job before I moved out, I'm a PA/EA so I was pretty sure I'd pick up something fairly quickly. It took me about 2 weeks and then I was working full time and my company have employed me permanently and are aware of my visa situation and seem to be happy enough to try and help me stay. I'm going to bug them some more about that once I've passed my 3 month probation stage....so yeah from all that I guess you've gathered I want to stay here long term.

Let me know if you have any questions about anything!
