Default BS MSP Enrollment and Number

Hi all,

When joining my company I enrolled in the BC MSP plan through the group benefits admin (Manulife) but have never received anything from them or the province in relation to enrollment numbers.

Should I have?

cheers

MSP send you a care card with your PHN on it once you qualify for MSP. Private insurers also send you a card with your plan and personal number on it.

You usually have to wait 3 months until you have been in the province to get MSP.

It can sometimes take some time to get enrolled as is what happened with me.

Group benefits is seperate and you should get a certificate number/card in which you use to submit claims

I have received my care from Manulife but not the province. Time for a phone call I believe.

Be warned - you could be waiting a while. BC health insurance are great with keeping you on the phone 20-30 mins
