Well, i think it has far more to do with being Irish/Polish heritage than actually being stubborn. My mom is 80, came from Ireland and is still as stubborn as the day is long. But she tells me I get it from my dad (polish)....

I like that expression: stubborn as the day is long. That means that during the winter she's less stubborn than in the summer? :)
