CALL THE BRITISH EMBASSY TO TRY AND GET EMERGENCY PASSPORT AND THE PERSON WHO DEALS WITH IT IS ON LEAVE . GOING OUT MY MIND HERE AS I NEED TO BE OUT OF CANADA IN 29 DAYS

Which British embassy did you try? Cos my daughter's passport is expiring in 6 weeks time and we're just waiting for our passport request to come through!!

its the toronto one , its not a replacement i need its an emergency i wanna get home like within the next 2 weeks

That's what we're going to have get if CIC take their time in requesting our passports, a blooming emergency one for her!!

You're going to have to check out the consulates to get your emergency passport...We live in Alberta and the closer consulate for us is BC!!

try Ottawa consulate!!

It's an emergency travel document and not an emergency passport, but will get you home.

going on tuesday filled a lll the forms out n that, apparently i need to prove i need to travel urgently having booked a return flight yet , see what they say when i get there

You need to have proof of flights etc with you or they will not issue you with an emergency travel document.

If you don't follow the instructions then you are not going to be in much luck.

THought everything passport wise was now via Washington?

THey have the High Commission in Ottawa .

I don't think you can come back on an emergency travel document, although you might be able to get another one in London for the return trip.

No expert though.

BTW, what happened to your original passport?
