Hi, it does not unfortunately. You are basically dealing with the courts and prisoners. Hubby was in investigation in the UK and he definitely misses it but the work life balance is better now.

Ex North Wales Police (14.5 yrs), now in Edmonton Police, Alberta, Canada (8 yrs).

Feel free to message me. The minimum requirement is PR. Some services have time restrictions, hold PR for 3/5/10 yrs etc. Even though you will have to go through academy training, it's really not that bad. I was 39 going through academy, and I had no issues, as most don't. Well, I tell a lie, being tasered sucks! lol

Not necessarily suitable for the OP but for anyone currently in Canada, Calgary Police are hosting a â€œWestern Canadaâ€ hiring fair on Sept 27 at their Westwinds Campus in the north east. Edmonton Police, Vancouver Police and many other smaller services will be in attendance.

But under that section, it is apparent that they are talking about candidates from Canada. There is this paragraph at the end of the section ............
