Hello,

I am looking for advice on completion of my tax return for Canada. I emigrated in 2015 and this is the first year for completing foreign assets on the T1135 form. Income is not a problem, my wife is skilled in that. I know its late, that is due to a combination of reasons!

My plan is to complete the T1135 then have a local accountant check it. I would be very grateful if anyone can suggest a good source of local advice.

Only just saw this, so you might have sorted it by now. I use Sterling Stanford on Oak Bay Ave.

Hello Susie,

Thank you very much for that. I thought Oak Bay would have someone! I found MNP in Nanaimo, who seem very good, and have started the ball rolling with them.

I can recommend Dewar McCarthy in Shawnigan Lake. Very reasonable and exactly tuned into personal tax stuff. We used MNP for a couple of years, but found them expensive and rather indifferent.
