Default bricklaying in vancouver

thinking of moving to vancouver i am a bricklayer and just wondering if i can get some info/advice on bricklaying in vancouver, what happens in the winter months, is bricklaying diffrent in canada to the uk.
also would like some info on vancouver is it a good place to bring my familly over to i have 3 young kids. cheers

welcome n BE is brilliant over here with help n advice.

I dont know much about briklaying but start by reading the wiki in here, read about that industry in BC, ie vancover and take it from there...

Hi not a bricklayer I've got a proper trade ( spark ) Lol no only joking i've been here since june 08 we met up via this site with another family who arrived the day before us He's a bricky so he could fill you in more there user name is jcd it's worth a try good luck chaz

I don't know about bricklaying being different here than in uk. But two things to consider: Vancouver's climate is mild compared to the rest of Canada. Shouldn't think you'll be laid off in the winter - just wet

and our houses are made of wood, old packing cases and whatnot. So that's got to be different than the uk.

hi thanks for message could you ask your mate jcd if he could post me some info if he could.how are you finding i living ou there , would you have any ideas on nice familly arears to have a look at settling in, thinking of coming out later next month to have a look about and all info greatly received. cheers
