Default Bricklaying jobs in Canada

Hello
I was thinking of moving to Canada as things in the UK are very abismal at the minute.
I am a bricklayer and have seen vancancies in the industry across the country on various websites.
However I have been reading on a lot of these threads that there has been huge job losses in the construction industry.
I really want to get out of the uk as the country has been deteriating for years and Im looking for a better life.
But is it wise to make the move to Canada at the minute?
I feel like if I dont do it this year then I will never do it.
Any help from anyone would be appreciated as I am new to this website.
