Bricklayer wanting more information about moving to Canada

Hi,

My friend is a brick layer and he would like to know more about moving to Canada.

He would like to know which provinces are in need of brick layers and then what the process would be to then emmigrate.

Thanks for any info given :)

Perhaps point him at this site if he has a computer?

What do bricklayers do about tea breaks in Canada - do they become coffee breaks instead? :sneaky:

I offered to find out information for him as he doesn't know how to use a computer.

Might want to ask a mod to move this into the main forum, since this section is for immigration specific issues, i.e. the forms etc. More likely to get an answer in the main forum....

Hi,

My OH is a bricklayer and we've been looking at Alberta as bricklaying is still on the OUP list there. It seems to have fallen off the BC and NB lists though it was on theirs earlier this year.

We are in Hook and talking to the brickies round here it seems emigrating is high on the agenda for many of them. Jobs are short and a lot of building companies are closing their residential sides down, Bovis & Redrow being the latest.:(

Anyhow pm me if I can help at all.

Sue

I have have just discovered that Alberta is the only province that needs bricklayers.

Question now is how does he go about getting over there?

Thanks!!:)
