Book Flights - How do I?
#1
Hi all
May sound like a crazy question but I need to book a flight for my mother who is in uk. She seems to think that I can do this from Canada and pay in $ and that she can pick up tickets at London airport using e-ticket. I have booked flights before using this method but not whilst I have been in Canada. Plus she believes that it works out cheaper doing it this way.
When I have visited online booking sites (canadian ones) you don't get to choose airports from uk. Years ago relatives here booked my ticket using a reverse method i.e. Return flight and Outbound. I have tried this but the booking date system doesn't seem to work this way.
Any help much appreciated.

Most of the sites have the option to change location, Air Canada does and I have booked tickets for my cousins to come and visit from the UK in Canada on the UK Canadian Affair website. It can be done, just need to to find the option on their website. Who are you looking to fly with?
I think i also saw a post saying it may be cheaper to book flights from the UK? worth looking at the price from both sides.

I did it online the other month with Zoom, no problems - booked UK-Canada-UK flights for my father. I couldn't do it the other day on NorthWest.com though, it insisted the credit card holder was one of the travellers, which it wasn't. It was okay to book the same flights on the phone with them though, just cost an extra 10 bucks or whatever it was...

You can book online with many airlines. They use your e-mail address to confirm the booking and then you print it off as your e-ticket or forward it on from your e-mail to the third party to print off as this is all the airline needs at check in along with your docs for id. Ihave just done this for OH for a birthday gift to Vegas for a friend in Canada Ijust forwarded it on from my e-mail on his birthday. What could be easier and less paper to be used....easy peezy
